The Pearl of Marina di Loano

Shardana Wine & Sea

Shardana takes its name from one of the Sea Peoples. And that’s where its dining philosophy begins: the sea, its flavors, and the pleasure of sharing a good meal and a glass of fine wine.

In 2016, in the heart of Marina di Loano, Shardana Wine & Sea opened its doors: a wine bar and restaurant where Ligurian tradition meets a vibrant, authentic, and generous cuisine. It’s a unique way of showcasing the region: through quality, innovation, and a passion for doing things right.

Our Specialties

The Kitchen

Our cuisine is rooted in Ligurian and Italian traditions, but it doesn’t stop there. The pasta is homemade, the ingredients are carefully selected, and the menu changes frequently, depending on the season, availability, and inspiration.

Oysters

Select oysters, raw seafood, shellfish, and platters. At Shardana, the sea is served this way: with the right wine and the right moment to savor it. An experience designed for those who love to start with the freshest offerings from the sea.

Aged Meats

Carefully selected cuts from local biodynamic farms, extended aging, minimalist cooking techniques, and a meticulous focus on flavor. A menu that seems unconventional at first glance. In reality, it’s simply Shardana.

Pizza

Stone-ground organic flours, carefully prepared doughs, seasonal ingredients, and small local producers who still believe in eating well. Then comes the rest: sophisticated pairings, pizzas that are a feast for the eyes—and even more satisfying to eat.

Where to Find Us

In the heart of Marina di Loano

Shardana is located in Marina di Loano, nestled between the sea, the harbor, and that kind of atmosphere that makes you want to sit back and relax without watching the clock. For lunch, dinner, a glass of wine, a platter, a pizza, or an entire evening.

What People Say About Us

The guys who run it are great—kindness and professionalism are second nature to them. The food is excellent! After sharing an appetizer, we ordered the spicy-sweet ribs—they were delicious! All the desserts are “homemade” and are fantastic—I highly recommend the tiramisu and cheesecake. This has become my favorite restaurant in Loano.

We had lunch at this wonderful restaurant, and we couldn't be happier! The menu offers a wide variety of both fish and meat dishes, all of excellent quality. We'll definitely be back in the evening to try their pizzas, especially since we saw the excellent ingredients they use. Excellent value for the money, and on top of that, it's wonderful to eat outside under the grapevine. Highly recommended!

A well-maintained spot in the port of Loano. There's always a friendly atmosphere. You can enjoy a dinner featuring Ligurian dishes or exquisite meats with bold flavors; but that’s not all, since you can also choose traditional dishes from the French Riviera featuring raw and cooked fish and shellfish. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong!
